Boasting an inspiring build, the Fender Zuma Exotic concert ukulele packs warm, earthy sound, refreshing looks and classic Fender DNA. Part of the California Coast Series, this concert uke features a body and top made of bocote, which helps shape a balanced sound that blends particularly well with other instruments, and has a distinct graining pattern that you'll never get tired of looking at.
The Zuma Exotic: Clearly a Fender
The concert shape of the Zuma Exotic falls right in between smaller soprano ukuleles and larger tenor ukuleles, making this model a solid pick for large-handed players. The sixteen frets support a broad note-range, while the no-tie bridge guarantees quick, fuss-free re-strings. For the instantly-recognisable finishing touch, Fender have gone with a classic Tele-style headstock.

Tegenvaller. Dit weekend cadeau gekregen en helaas moeten terugbrengen. Geheel tegen mijn gewoonte in, dat komt zo ondankbaar over... Ik heb dus echt geprobeerd ze graag te zien.
De afwerking is ondermaats en niet wat je van een Fender product verwacht. De lak was slordig aangebracht, in het klankgat hingen nog splinters van het uitsnijden.
De snaren waren totaal niet op spanning aangebracht met teveel windingen op de stemschroef waardoor ze überhaupt niet kon gestemd worden zonder ze eerst volledig opnieuw te besnaren. Dit instrument is dus niet getest geweest in de fabriek.
De stemschroeven zelf voelen niet kwalitatief aan en in mijn geval was er één stuk, Bij elke 180 graden van de stemmechaniek liep de stemschroef heel stroef om dan bij de volledige omwenteling plots door te schieten, hierdoor kon deze snaar niet gestemd worden. ik kwam niet hoger dan een D#, de stemmechaniek kon een hogere spanning niet aan.
Voor deze prijs zijn er heel wat betere instrumenten te verkrijgen.
